Our teaching approach

BUILD FIRST!

Most courses make you sit through theory before you make anything. Here it works the other way round. You build something that runs, then we open it up and learn why it works.

Step 1

Build something small

Every module starts with a working piece of code in the first 30 minutes, such as a script, an API or a chatbot.

Step 2

Learn the idea behind it

Now the concept has a reason to exist. We explain it with a simple analogy, then you change the code to test it.

Step 3

Grow it into a project

Small builds join up into bigger ones, ending with an AI agent you design and demo yourself.

Not how we teach✗ THEORY FIRSTWeeks of slides and syntax. Unclear why any of it matters until much later.
How we teach✓ BUILD FIRST!Working code from day one. Theory arrives when you need it, so it sticks.

Your 6 week journey

One road, seven stops. Each stop is something you build.

STARTPython basics, free add-on classes in weeks 1 and 2
Week 1

LLM Foundations

Tokens, context, how chat models work

Weeks 1 to 2

Prompt Engineering

Patterns, few-shot, structured output, chaining

Week 3

LLM APIs and FastAPI

Call models from code, build your own API

Week 4

RAG and Chat Apps

Embeddings, vector databases, chat with your documents

Week 5

Tool Use and AI Agents

Function calling, planning agents, MCP servers

Week 6

Evaluation, Safety, Cost

Test, secure and optimise what you built

FINISH: CapstoneDemo your own AI project

What you will be able to do

Every module ends with something you built yourself.

Write real Python

Start from the basics and reach the point where you can read and write working scripts and APIs.

Build with LLMs

Call models from code, write prompts that behave, and generate content for real use.

Ship AI agents

Give a model tools, let it plan steps, and connect it to your own data and services using MCP.

Show your work

Finish with a portfolio of projects you can put on GitHub and talk about in interviews.

Syllabus: 6 weeks

One Gen AI course, one module per week. Tap a week to see what it covers. Sessions are live, and every week ends with something you build.

New to Python? Free Python add-on classes run during the first two weeks, taught as needed, so you are ready for coding from Week 3. Weeks 1 and 2 need no coding.
Week 1: LLM Foundations and Prompt Engineering
  • Foundations of AI: what is an LLM and a walkthrough of popular LLMs, tokens and context window, system, user and assistant roles, temperature and top-p, why LLMs hallucinate, prompt vs program, what AI can and cannot do
  • Prompting basics: basic prompting patterns, role prompting, few-shot prompting, structured outputs (JSON, tables)
  • You build: prompts that automate a task you do every week
Week 2: Advanced Prompting and Content Generation
  • Prompt engineering: instruction clarity, prompt debugging, prompt chaining, reusable prompt templates
  • Content generation: text and social content workflows, a first look at test cases for prompts
  • You build: your own reusable prompt library and a content workflow
Week 3: LLM APIs and FastAPI
  • API basics: what is an API, REST basics, request and response structure
  • LLM APIs: calling OpenAI, Gemini and others, streaming responses, API keys and security basics, rate limits, cost awareness (tokens)
  • FastAPI: endpoints, request and response validation
  • You build: your own API powered by an LLM
Week 4: Building AI Apps and RAG
  • AI app basics: backend with FastAPI or Node, frontend basics for AI apps, chat UI design, session memory, saving chat history (DB basics)
  • RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation): why LLMs need external knowledge, embeddings, vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma), chunking documents, similarity search, retrieval pipeline
  • You build: a chat app that answers from your own documents
Week 5: Tool Use, AI Agents and MCP
  • Tool use: function calling, tool definition JSON, tools vs answering directly, multi-step reasoning workflows
  • AI agents: what is an AI agent, planner vs executor model, multi-step workflows, memory in agents, limitations of agents
  • MCP: what is an MCP server, using MCP servers in an AI application
  • You build: an AI agent connected to real tools through MCP
Week 6: Evaluation, Safety, Cost and Capstone
  • Evaluation and testing AI: why AI output is non-deterministic, how to test AI responses, test cases for prompts, regression testing for prompts, evaluating hallucinations, human vs automated evaluation, A/B testing prompts, bias, drift, metamorphic and back-to-back testing
  • AI safety and responsible use: hallucinations and misinformation, bias in models, sensitive data handling, prompt injection basics, safe system design, exercises: detect unsafe outputs and build safe prompt filters
  • Cost optimization: token optimization, choosing models (cheap vs expensive), caching responses, batching requests, local models vs APIs, when NOT to use AI
  • Capstone: design, build and demo your own project
  • You build: a tested, safe and cost aware AI project to show employers

Your Name

Python and AI trainer, Bangalore

I teach Python and AI by building. You get a working project from the first class, learn each concept when you need it, and finish with AI agents you can demo. I also teach how to evaluate AI systems, so you know when what you built really works.
